About Meyer Katz
Meyer Katz was the first person in the Katz Family to settle in Watzenborn-Steinberg. His father was either Seligmann Katz or Aron Katz of Steinbach. In 1848 he became the owner of his wife's family home Lea Löwenstein which later became the home of his son Samuel Katz, and then Ferdinand Katz, and then Isidor Katz. In the 1960's the property was demolished to create a parking lot for the butcher shop next door.
