Micajah Stone - He was born in 1745 in Lunenburg Co., Virginia. He married Apphia Hurt after 1771 in Bedford Co., Virginia. Apphia was born in 1755 in Lunenburg Co. and died about 1813. They had at least eleven children. Micajah died in 1799 in Bedford Co., Virginia.

Probate 24 June, 1799 Bedford County VA Deed Book 6, 1778 pg 46. In his will Micajah identifies his wife's name and the names of his 8 sons and 3 daughters. He states after the payment of my debts and funeral expenses I give to my wife Apphia Stone all of my estate both real and personal for and during her natural life or widowhood, reserving to my sons (all except my son William) the liberty of settling on the land as soon as they bocome of age. I also desire that my daughters, may receive each of them a proportion each of them a proortion exclusively in the negroes which shall equal each of my son's allotment in the land.
