Michael Balfour, 4th of Burleigh was the son of David Balfour and Agnes Forester.[3]

He married Christina Bethune, daughter of Sir John Bethune, 2nd of Creich and Janet Hay, before 27 April 1545.[3],[2]

He died on 29 November 1577.[3]

He lived at Burleigh, Kinross-shire, Scotland.[1]
