Micheline Therese Clyde

Micheline “Shelley” Silva Clyde of Modesto, California, passed away on December 19, 2013 at the Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson, California, after a long struggle with dementia. She is survived by her devoted partner, Michael Chalupsky and his mother, Mabel Montgomery, siblings Marie Silva (Agustin) Vallejo, John Silva (Jonathan Best), Angela Silva (Chris Juricich), and Mike Ledesma (Ernie Ely). Her beloved family includes nieces: Stephanie Syjuco, Miel Vallejo (Ted) Brooks, Ella Vallejo, nephew Jake Juricich, grand-nephew Maxwell Brooks, and grand-niece Lucia Brooks. She is also in the hearts and minds of her godchildren, extended cousins from the Silva, Bagtas, Lacson, and Ledesma families, as well as many friends from the Philippines and abroad. Shelley was preceded in death by her parents, Lt. Col. Saturnino R. Silva and Elena Javellana Ledesma. Micheline was born on September 15, 1953, in Iloilo, Philippines. She spent most of her adolescence in Makati, Metro-Manila after having lived in Iloilo, Baguio, and General Santos, Cotabato. She attended grade school at Maryknoll Convent School in Baguio, Notre Dame School of Dadiangas, St. Theresa’s School in Manila, Assumption Convent in San Lorenzo, Makati and graduated from Assumption Convent High School in San Lorenzo, Makati. What mattered most to Shelley was her family; she was a loving daughter, sister, aunt and godmother. Most of all, Micheline loved Mike and their TJ.
