Окончил Пажеский Его Императорского Величества корпус. Окончил Военно-Юридическую Академию (1903). 12.8.1895 выпущен подпоручиком в 1 полевую конно-артиллерийскую батарею. 29.9.1895 прикомандирован к лейб-гвардии конно-артиллерийской бригаде, куда переведен 6.5.1896 . Адъютант дивизиона. 1898 и 1901 в Адресной книге СПб указан: подпоручик. Л-гв. конно-артиллерийская бригада. Гагаринская, 11 (жил в доме матери и покойного отца). 6.12.1899 поручик. 1900 в Адрес-календаре указан: Военное мин-во. Л-гв. Конно-артилерийская бригада. Поручик . 28.5.1902 окончил Александровскую военно-юридическую Академию, награжден орденом св. Станислава 3 степени. 6.12.1903 штабс-капитан. 25.8.1905 командирован в Баден-Баден для поздравления Великого князя Михаила Николаевича. 8.11.1908 капитан. 1908 пребывание в Париже в связи с заключением контракта между российским правительством и французской фирмой на изготовление панцирей для русской армии. Работа в комиссии по опробыванию панцирей, ее заключение об их непригодности, расторжение контракта . 30.9.1909 награжден орденом св. Владимира 4 степени. 1909 успешно окончил курс офицерской артиллерийской школы. 1909: Адресная книга СПб: штатс-капитан. Литейный, 2. Гвард. конно-артилл. бригада. Тел. 21744. 22.5.1910 полковник, командир 4-й Наследника Цесаревича батареи лейб-гвардии конно-артиллерийской бригады . С 1914 – на фронте. С апреля 1920 – сотрудник Наркомата Внешней Торговли в Москве . 19 октября 1920 – арестован на своей квартире по обвинению «в пособничестве шпионажу» и заключен в Бутырскую тюрьму. С 1923 эмиграции во Франции. В 1931 г. в Париже. М.А.Бер получил французское гражданство и устроился на работу счетоводом в различных учреждениях в Париже.

On 29.9.1895, he was seconded to the Life Guards of the horse-artillerybrigade, where 6.5.1896 was transferred. Adjutant Division. 1898 and 1901 in the address book of St. Petersburg specified: Second Lieutenant. L-gv. horse artillery brigade. Lieutenant. 28/05/1902 graduated from the Alexander Military Law Academy, was awarded the Order of St.. Stanislav 3 degrees. 12/6/1903 staff captain. 25.8.1905 sent to Baden-Baden to congratulate Grand Duke Mikhail Nikolayevich. 11/08/1908 Captain. 1908 stay in Paris in connection with the conclusion of a contract between the Russian government and the French company for the manufacture of armor for the Russian army. Work in the commission for testing armor,its conclusion about their unsuitability, termination of the contract. 30.9.1909 awarded the Order of St.. Tel. 21744. 05/22/1910 Colonel, commander of the 4th Heir, Tsesarevich, battery of the Life Guards, cavalry-artillery brigade. 1914 (Is he?) The chief commander of the Separate corps of gendarmes, pc-of. for orders under the Ministry of Interior. From 1914 - at the front. From 1918 he fought on the Northern Front (for the Reds ??), fell ill with typhus, after recovering he worked as a supply manager in a military-sanitary train. From April 1920 - Officer of the Foreign Trade Commissariat in Moscow. October 19, 1920 - arrested in his apartment on charges of "complicity with espionage" and imprisoned in Butyrka prison. In 1921, he was still in custody. Since 1923 emigration to France. In 1931 in Paris. MA Ber received French citizenship and got a job as an accountant in various institutions in Paris.
