Mildred Dyke

Painesville Telegraph, Tuesday, January 14, 1986, Pg. 15 Mildred M. Dyke KIRTLAND – Mildred M. Dyke, 88, died Monday at Western Reserve Convalescent Home, Kirtland, after a long illness. She was born Dec. 23, 1897, in Willoughby and lived in Kirtland for more than 60 years. Mrs. Dyke retired in 1971 from the J. D. Wright Estate in Waite Hill, where she had been a housekeeper. Survivors include her daughter, Charlotte Turner of Euclid; sons, Raymond M. of Uniontown and Ralph E. of Kirtland; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Katherine Young of Thompson. She was preceded in death by her husband, William H., in 1983; three brothers, Hart, Morris and Everett Markell, and sister, Ariel Markell. There will be graveside services at 1 p.m. Wednesday at South Kirtland Cemetery, Kirtland. Officiating will be Elder Allan B. Clough of the Kirtland Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The Davis Funeral Home, Willoughby, made the arrangements. The family suggests contributions to a favorite charity.
