Millie Pettus, age 82, of Bauxite passed away on Friday, May 26, 2017. She was born June 8, 1934 in Bauxite. Millie was retired from the Bauxite school District and a homemaker. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Bradford Sheridan and Beulah Marie Brewer Sheridan; brothers, Harold, Herman, Hubert, Hugh, Carthel and Alvin Sheridan; sister, Alma Scroggins.

Survivors, husband of 64 years, John Clayton Pettus, Bauxite; son, Jeff Pettus, Bauxite; daughters and son-in-law, Janelle (Jimmy) Sorrells, Bauxite, Becky Beshears, Bauxite; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Ashby Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Mars Hill Cemetery. Minister will be Bro. Rick Porter.

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. before the services.

Grandsons will be pallbearers.
