About Miriam Wheeler
Some databases show this Miriam as a daughter of Samuel/Joseph Hawley by Katherine Booth, but since Samuel/Joseph's date and place of birth are reported to be 1577 at Parwich, it is more likely that this Miriam is Samuel/Joseph and Katherine's granddaughter.
Date and place of birth have also been (erroneously?) reported to be:

Children of Moses Wheeler and Miriam Hawley:
- Elizabeth, born Aug. 1, 1642; m. (1) Samuel Blakeman. They removed to Huntington, L. I., where he died, 1667. She m. (2) Jacob Walker.
- Miriam, born March 2g, 1647; m. James Blakeman, d. 1689, son of Rev. Adam Blakeman and Jane ( ) Blakeman.
- Samuel, born April 28, 1649; m. May 29, 1678, Elizabeth Harris.
- Moses,born July 5, 1651.
- Mary, born Sept. 13, 1655; m. (1) Samuel Fairchild; m. (2) Benjamin Beach.
- Joanna, born March 5, 1658.
Date of death has also been (erroneously?) reported to be 1673.
From The Hawley Society
Some sources claim Miriam Hawley to be Joseph Hawley’s sister, although Elias Sill Hawley was not supportive of this claim in THE HAWLEY RECORD.
Miriam married Moses Wheeler, probably in New Haven, and moved with him to Stratford. The records indicate that Moses was in Stratford in 1648, at least one to years prior to the earliest record of Joseph Hawley there.
Moses and Miriam are buried there in the Old Congregational Burying Ground. The location happens to be on the other side of the cemetery from Joseph, but not so far from some of Joseph’s childrens’ graves.
Moses was a carpenter who built ships. One wonders if perhaps he participated in the building of the John and Esther for Joseph Hawley. What is certain is that they would have been contemporaries and familiar with each other."
