Mrs. Harris was born March 10, 1852 in Todd county, KY., the daughter of Paul and Polly Hull Gray {sic-her parents were William P. Gray and Mary (Layne) Gray. Hull was the maiden name of her husband’s, John S. Lusk’s mother}. She moved to Illinois with her parents while yet a small child and resided in Fairfield, Ia., {sic—should be Fairfield, IL}, until 1896, when she, with her family, moved to southeast Missouri.
