About 'Mollie' Mary Adeline Burns formerly Brockman
At the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Wednesday evening Mollie, only daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Durack, sen., of Chester-st, Subiaco, to Mr. Leslie Elliott Drake--Brockman (late lieutenant A.LF.), son of Mr. and Mrs. Drake-Brockman. of Beverley. The bride, given away by her brother, wore white georgette over white satin, with a long court train. Over all fell a veil of old lace, lent by a friend. She was attended by Miss Davidson (cousin) in pale blue georgette, a mob cap of blue and sliver, and by Miss Drake-Brockman (sister of the bridegroom) in pale pink georgette and cap of pink and silver. Each carried an early Victorian posy to match her frock. The bridegroom was supported by Major Lance Drake Brockman, Captain Ross McDonald being groomsman. After the service one hundred and fifty guests were received at the Savoy Hotel where supper was served. Mrs. Durack received the guests gowned in black charmeuse and georgette and a black hat. Subsequently Mr. and Mrs. Drake Brockman left in their car to tour through the South-West.
