Molly G. Derstine, of West Rockhill Township., passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2005 after a lengthy battle with cancer. She would have celebrated her 72nd birthday on October 3. Molly faced her disease as she faced life, with courage, dignity and humor. She spent her last days in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her entire family. Molly was born and raised in Perkasie, the daughter of the late Howell M. and Sara (Yeakel) Gulick and older sister to Scott W. Gulick of Chalfont. A 1951 graduate of Sell-Perk High School, Perkasie, she attended Keystone Junior College. Molly married her high school sweetheart, Dr. Richard D. She was a member and chair of Grand View Hospitals Service League, later known as the Charity Ball Committee. She also volunteered at the Serendipity Shop at Grand View. Molly was very active in the auxiliary of the Penn Foundation, Sellersville. Highlights of her fundraising efforts included the Christmas Tea, the Rummage Sale, the annual Christmas Barn, the Gala at Normandy Farms, and the Gateway to Summer Garden Tour and Arts Festival. Molly was instrumental in the formation of the Friends of Penn Foundation. In addition to helping her husband establish his veterinary practice, Molly served on committees through the Pennsylvania State Veterinary Association. Molly was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Deep Run, Perkasie,(Bedminster Township) and she helped to organize the Deep Run Festival of the Arts. Molly was a passionate chef, and her kitchen was always the center of activity. Her greatest source of joy was her family. She will forever be adored by her five children, their spouses and partners, R. Andrew Derstine and his wife, Donna, of Harrison, Maine, Sally A. Derstine and her companion, Linda Marenski, of Zionsville, Christian Gulick Derstine and his wife, Melanie Sue, of West Rockhill Township, William H.
