“Mentions eldest son, Henry Smith; grand-daughter Ann Smith, daughter of said Henry; son Thomas Smith; son Benjamin Smith, four grand-children, Thomas Screven, James Screven, Martha Baker and John Screven; grand-daughters, Elizabeth Disxon, (needle work picture, history of Judith and Holifernes and other items); Rebecca Dixon and Mary Dixon, Anna Taylor, daughter of Andrew amd Saboma Taylor, sons Henry, Thomas and Benjamin appointed executors … no date of proof” The South Carolina Historical and Genealogical Magazine, Vol 22 p 105-6
Despite long-time Perry family belief that Molly Hyrne was the dau of Elizabeth Massingberd, Mary apparently was a daughter from Edward Hyrne's earlier marriage. Edward Hyrne married Elizabeth Massingberd (against her family’s wishes) in 1697 when Elizabeth was 10 years old). Edward already had three children, Edward, Mary (Molly) and Peggy. Elizabeth and Edward Hyrne had three sons - all born in S. Carolina; one died in infancy, the other two were Burrell and Henry Hyrne
