About Molly Rose McRae
A six-year-old girl is dead after a homicide near Gore this morning and a woman has appeared in the Invercargill District Court. Police were called to a rural address near Charlton about 7.15 this morning and found the body of Molly Rose McRae inside. A police spokeswoman says a 45-year-old woman has been interviewed. Police have also talked with a number of people who were at the scene. There is no information on how the young girl died. Police say they are not looking for any one else in connection with the death.
Gore woman Maree Frances MacRae was legally insane when she killed her 6-year-old daughter Molly with a knife and attempted to murder her husband Derek on December 6 2004. Molly's father had received injuries to his hands, while two other children in the Charlton house were uninjured. Source: 4thekidz
