"...under Look's grant, besides the original location of one hundred acres, in 1752 the above-named lot of forty acres was laid out under this grant, and that in 1772 Moses Hubbard sold to Edmund Currier thirty-seven acres and had ten acres of marsh surveyed for himself, all under same grant. page 91

JAMES b. 29 Feb. 1728; in. 28 Feb. 1752 Mary Bean of York. Rem. to Kennebunk. Capt. in Rev. army. Killed at Cambridge in 1775.

JAMES — b Feb 29, 1728, m Feb 28, 1752, Mary Bean (living in 1783), dau of John and Mary (Hubbard) Bean of York. He lived in Kittery, but by June 13, 1754, had removed to Wells, or to that part afterward set off as Kennebunk. In 1749 he was architect and builder of Second Cong. Church at Wells, a two-story building 30 feet long, the nails in which were wrought by hand at the anvil. Mch 10, 1760, he was chosen surveyor of highways. During subsequent periods he was chosen constable, tithingman, warden and surveyor of lumber, selectman, and auditor of town accounts, and lived in Kennebunk. He was firm and resolute in his devotion to principle, and was elected Mch 22, 1775, member of committee on correspondence dealing with war matters. Afterward he enlisted a company for eight months and marched to Cambridge, Mass., where he was killed. "Joseph Storer, John Littlefield, Noah M. Littlefield, and JAMES HUBBARD were active officers in the great struggle and sealed their devotion to their country with their blood," reads the history of Wells and Kennebunk. The inventory of his estate, sworn to Oct 5, 1776, by Mary, his widow, amounted to L 465.1.

Jeremiah Wise of Berwick — and had Betsey, John, Mary, Dankl, George and Hannah),

James (b abt 1745, called "joiner," was also a " sea captain," m Dorothy Couzens of Wells and d before June 28, 1796, inventory of estate $306.32, liabilities $210.98),

Diamond, or " Dimon " (b after 1745, mariner, m (?) Tabitha d 18 16, and had John, Dimon who m Phebe , William, Mary, Hannah, and Caroline)
