His will is dated 20 June 1744 and proved on 24 January 1745 in Warwick, Rhode Island.
His date of death 11 December 1745 is recorded in the heading of his inventory which was taken on 22 January 1745/46.
He "was buried in his own ground at Warwick. Rev. James McSparran, D.D., preached a funeral sermon. He was admitted a freeman of the colony in 1704, and was a deputy to the general assembly six years between 1715 and 1730."
