Moses 'Felip Salomao' =Simon Mendes(Moses David) Musaphia

Important Notes from the source of information linking Moses as the son of Felipe and Gracia -

These earliest recorded members of the Musaphia family above have been assumed to be siblings and have been shown here together with their possible parentage as indicated below.
Recent information has indicated that Emanuel may have been the son of Felip Salomao ibn YAHYA (also known as DINIS or DIONIS) and Gracia Abigail de FALACIOS or PALACIOS, daughter of Pedro de PALACIOS and Felipa BARBOSA and believed to be the sister of Rabbi Isaac PALACHE of Fez.
This may only be based on the fact that his son, Benjamin, in his published Latin work on medicine, calls himself "Dionysius".
The ibn YAHYA family trace their lineage through a tapestry and recorded in a work by Eliakim Carmoly; "Sefer Divre HaYamim le-Bene Yahya" "ספר דברי הימים לבני יחייא" (Book of Chronicles of the sons/family of Yahya) (Frankfurt am Main: Bet HaSefarim shel A. Koyfman, 1850).
They can be linked back to the Exilarchs - 'Prince of the Captivity' or 'Head of the Exile' - (Heb. ראש גולה, rosh galut) (Aram. רֵישׁ גָּלוּתָא, resh galuta), who are descended from King David.

I am not yet convinced of the relationship between Emanuel Musaphia and of Felip Salomao ibn YAHYA.
However I have included the link to an additional page showing the ancestry of the latter, indicating relationships as though they were definite.
Although the Musaphia surname disappears from my direct family links with the marriage of Sarah 'Moses' MUSAPHIA to Emanual CRESPO, it reappears later with the marriages of my Great Grand Aunts, Sarah and Jane 'Moses' HARING to Moses and Joseph 'Aaron' MUSAPHIA in the late 1800s.
