2 February, 1910: (Makaram 20, 1085 M.E) Inauguration of Nicholson School, in
Tiruvalla. Nicholson School was established in Tiruvalla with the help of Mrs.
Nicholson and Miss. Mckibbin. The complete cost for the construction of the
school buildings were donated by Miss. Mckibbin. Inauguration of the school was
held on Wednesday 2 Feb 1910, by the Metropolitan Titus II. For many years
Miss. Mckibbin continued her financial help for the School.
Titus II Metropolitan was a diabetic for a long time. By 1941 he lost his eye sight also. At this time, he was helped by the other Metropolitans. On Thursday July 6, 1944,Titus II Metropolitan passed away. He was interred in the Bishops’ cemetery in the SCS Compound, Tiruvalla.

Even before Marett Rev. M.N.Abraham was ordained as a deacon in 1911, the church leaders unanimously decided to select him as a bishop of the Mar Thoma Church. He was consecrated as an episcopa on December 27, 1917 at Tiruvalla and was given the episcopal title, Abraham Mar Thoma Suffragan Metropolitan.
Because the number of parishes increased, the Representative Assembly (Mandalam) decided to have two more bishops. They selected Ayroor Cherukara Rev. C.M. John and Ayroor Kurudamannil Rev. C.T.Mathew. They were consecrated as episcopas on December 30, 1937 at Tiruvalla. Rev.C.M.John was given the title Juhanon Mar Timotheos and Rev. C.T. Mathew was given the title Mathews Mar Athanasius.
12, 13 Kanni M.E 1092(28, 29 September 1917): First Mar Thoma Clergy
Conference. The first annual conference for the priests of the Mar Thoma Church
was held in September 1917 at Syrian Christian Seminary in Tiruvalla under the
leadership of Bishop Titus II. It was a two-day conference. Priests from Anglican
Church also attended this Conference. Rev Dr L P Larsen Principal of the
Bangalore Theological College was the main speaker.
The Mar Thoma Voluntary Evangelists Association
Believers interested in evangelistic and intercessory activities used to assemble periodically for prayer and fellowship. It was in the annual meeting of such a gathering in 1924, the present Mar Thoma Voluntary Evangelists’ Association got formed. Bishop Abraham Mar Thoma was the ardent supporter of this movement and Titus II Mar Thoma Metropolitan sent a circular to all parishes encouraging the formation of branches of the Association. Rev. C. P. Philipose Kassisa was the first president, Sadhu Kochu Kunju the secretary and Kolakottu John Upadesi the traveling secretary
