"Myles was born in 1833 at Walton On the Hill, Lancashire, England to Rev. Roger Hesketh Formby I and Harriet Peel. In 1854 he married his first wife Emma Louisa Eustace who died in 1871. They had 7 known children. The following year in 1872 he married his second wife Emily Wilson and they had 8 known children."
