--in The Jewish Independent (Cleveland, Ohio), Friday, December 20, 1918, p. 6: "Mrs. Sylvia Fensterman, 2437 E. 57th street, passed away Sunday, Dec. 15, at the age of twenty-five. Besides her husband, Mr. Irving Fensterman, she is survived by an infant child, her father, Mr. Max Apple, three sisters, the Misses Henrietta, Leah and Myra, and two brothers, Edward and Harold. Her death resulted from influenza. Burial took place Monday at Harvard Grove Cemetery." [aside: "Apple" is spelling in the paper]
