NN Father of Krotoa

Kratoa is born in the Gorinhaicona settlement at the mouth of the Camissa River in Table Bay.Circumstantial evidence supports the possibility that Krotoa lived with her uncle' Autshumato (called Harry by the Dutch) at the time of the Dutch landing. The records confirm that she was separated from her sister in infancy, as well the fact that Eva showed consistent hostility to the Goringhaiqua clan and to her own mother, who lived with them. In contrast, her fate and fortunes were closely tied with those of Autshumato for whom she clearly expressed deep concern and compassion on several occasions.
