About Nachman Nathan Bachrach
Nathan (Nachman) was a jeweler and had stores at a number of lower east side locations in the 1880s. In 1890 he is a jeweler at 80 Canal Street, living at 26 Eldridge Street. His sons Abraham and Joseph worked for him but by 1890 his sons obtained a judgment against him for money he owed them. By 1906, his sons were in the watchmaking business under the name U.S. Watch Case Co. with Nathan Loewenstein at 51 Maiden Lane and, in 1909 at 97 Bleecker Street.
