Naftali Naphtali HAMEL. b. 1 May 1893, Rymanów - d. after 7 Sept 1942, Auschwitz, HOLOCAUST

Naftali & Charlotte HAMEL were in the region of Nice, Côte d'Azur, where they were rounded up in the notorious "Rafles d'août" in August 1942. The arrested Jewish citizens were incarcerated in the Caserne Auvare for a while before being put on a goods train, in locked-up wagons, and transferred to Drancy.

Naftali Hamel was born in Rymanow, Poland in 1893. Prior to WWII he lived in Monaco. During the war he was deported with Transport 29 from Drancy,Camp,France to Auschwitz Birkenau,Extermination Camp,Poland on 07/09/1942.

Naftali was murdered in the Shoah (according to this source).
