Obituary, Naldo Yeomans, published November 11, 1954, in The Leader and Kalkaskian (Kalkaska, MI).
Mr. Naldo Yeomans, 72, former night marshal of Kalkaska, died in a Wayne county hopsital last Sunday, Nov. 7, following a long illness. Funeral services were held at the Berg Funeral Home in Kalkaska Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 9, at 2:30 with Rev. James C. Mathews officiating. Burial was made in the family lot in the Evergreen cemetery. Mr. Yeomans was born July 12, 1882 at Manton, to Mr. and Mrs. Charles Yeomans. As a young man he worked in and around South Boardman and Kalkaska for many years, clerking in the store for Cole Brothers and leaving there to open his own store at Sigma. After selling his interests in Sigma he located in Detroit, where he operated stores for several years after which he returned to Kalkaska doing trucking and operating a gas station. On June 16, 1908, he was united in marriage to Lena Flagg, who passed away Feb. 17, 1949. On December 17, 1949, he was married to Mrs. Cora Murphy, and since that time he has resided in Detroit. Surviving him are his widow, Cora, two sisters, Mrs. Belva Gallihugh and Mrs. Delta Anderson, and one brother, Dallas, also many other relative and a host of friends.
