- Married under the name of Nancy BETCHEL. Betsy BETCHEL was a witness. This could be her sister Elizabeth. 1900 census, Huron Co. Caseville Twp lists Nancy as the wife of John Gardner. She has had 8 children with 8 alive. Albert Danks age 13 is living with her as is Raymond Gardner, age 6. Both must be sons. Malcumb Gardner age 26 might be John's son from another marriage. In 1900 Nancy had been married to John for 7 years. Nancy's father William was living with her sister Catherine, Married 17 years to Charley Hoppe with 11 children.

- Ephraim Bechkel was born to Nancy Bechkel on October 3, 1872. Father was Charles Duker a Laborer. Record No. 1872-05-0411303. Charles's last name was probably Dowker and he was a brother to Nancy's sister Hannah's husband William.

William Danks was the informant on her death certificate and Mary A. Danks is listed as 9/12 years on 1880 census. Nancy died of Pneumonia. She had epilepsy during the last 15 years of her life. She died in Flint, Michigan. She is buried in the Old Cemetery just north of Bay Port, Michigan next to Henry Danks and Ephraim Bechtel. Death Certificate lists Dec 15, 1850 as birth date, but family bible has Dec 13, 1950.
