About Nancy Roberts

GEDCOM Note

Research notes==I have found proof that she existed, but I have yet to find proof she is this Richards daughter. She was attached to him when I adopted profile and wondering if we have two Richard Hargis's

However she would have lived after her fathers' death from what I see and she is not mentioned in the will. So I think it is more likely she was related to him a different relationship.

Biography

The early years

Nancy was born about 1766 in Orange County, North Carolina. She is the daughter of Richard Hargis and Mary Jones

The siblings from this relationship are currently deemed to be:

I am not certain that she is related to the same Richard Hargis as those that descend from Jeannie Long, as there is no mention of Nancy or Oliver in his will, and it appears that she lived well past the date of Richard's death in 1800.

The siblings are believed to be:*William Hargis (1769-1852)<ref name = "Will"> Will of Richard Hargis as can bee seen on his profile</ref>

Family life

She would marry John Arthur Roberts on the 25th of Mary 1789 in Caswell, North Carolina<ref>North Carolina, Marriage Records, 1741-2011 Bond Date: 25 Mar 1789 Bond #: 000017829 Record #: 01 258</ref>. David Roberts was a Bondsman and J. Womack a witness.
If we assume the attached 1820 census is correct they would have at least 10 children:

I removed Jane/Jennie from her biological mother as so far the evidence does not that support that - this was done for the upcoming merge. <p>James Will does not mention her, and she was supposed to be alive at the time of his death. I have yet to find evidence to support jane as her mother.

<a href="/wiki/Hargis-250" title="Hargis-250">Hargis-250</a> and Hargis-127 appear to represent the same person because: same parents (merges proposed) same dates, same husband

From the documentation I have it does not support Jenne Jacobs as her mother - it supports his supposed other wife. Do you have other information to support this relationship - if so I'd love to have it.
