Nancy Carroll Smith

Nancy C. Smith 75, of Indianapolis, passed away April 6, 2008. She was born October 27, 1932 in Russellville, Kentucky to the late Parnell and Alma (Tatum) Clark. In 1954, Nancy graduated from Ball State University with a degree in education. She was the founder and president of her own medical billing and accounting company, retiring in 1999. She was very involved in her community and volunteered with many organizations and events including; the Lockerbie Square Peoples Club, Pan Am Games, NCAA, Zoobilation, League of Cities, 500 Festival, National Track & Field and the Sullivan Awards to name a few. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Richard L. Smith; her three daughters, Stacey C. Smith, Marcey D. Smith (Norman Theaman) and Cameron L. McEllhiney (Matt); two grandchildren, Tatum and Madeline Theaman; three sisters, Marie Osborne, Betty Hunt (Tom) and Susan Rider (Bob) and two brothers; Parnell Clark Jr. (Verlene) and Jerry Clark. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 11, 2008 at the Leppert Mortuary, Nora Chapel, 740 E. 86th Street.
