Mrs. Robert Speer

  Mrs. Nannie Speer, wife of Robert Speer, of Hickory Township, one of the most highly esteemed of Lawrence county's women, passed away at the family residence on the Harlansburg road, about four miles from this city, Sunday evening at 9 o'clock.  She had been ill for the past year, suffering from heart trouble; but her condition was not considered serious until twenty-four hours previous to her death.
   She was 77 years of age, and had resided in Hickory township for teh past 44 years.  She was a member of the Neshannock United Presbyterian church, and was a woman of many estimable traits of character.  Her husband survives, and she leaves two children, Mrs. Minnie Marshall of Bridgeport, Conn, and Edward Speer, at home; also two step-children, J. R. Speer of Greely, Col, and Mrs. Margaret Speer Gibson of this city. 
  The funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Neshannock U.P. church and interment will be made in the church cemetery.
