Greenville (Texas) Morning Herald, Sun, 18 Jan 1931, page 6, MRS. WILBANKS DIES SATURDAY, PROMINENT GREENVILLE WOMAN SUCCUMBS AT HOME SATURDAY AFTERNOON.

Mrs. J.B. Wilbanks, 81 years of age, beloved Greenville woman, passed away at her home, 4216 Stuart street at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon following an illness of about a month's duration. ....

Mrs. Wilbanks was born in Georgia but moved to Alabama with her family while quite young. While in Alabama she was united in marriage to Rev. J.B. Wilbanks on November 3, 1867. They came to Texas in 1893, first settling in Grayson county where they resided one year. They later moved to Blue Ridge in Collin county and resided there until 1917 when they came to Greenville to make their home.

Mrs. Wilbanks was a splendid example of Christian womanhood and worked faithfully with her husband to further the Master's cause. She was a member of the First Baptist church of this city at the time of her death. She was a loving wife and mother and was never happier than when providing for her loved ones.

Surviving are her husband and the following children: Mrs. Paralee Hart, of Greenville; Mrs. F.H. McCormack, of Harlingen; Mrs. Attie Gilbert, of Lubbock; Dr. M.L. Wilbanks, Greenville; J.L. Wilbanks, Hugo, Okla., and B.B. Wilbanks, of Sherman. Several grandchildren and a number of other relatives also survive.
