MEMORIAL PHOTOS 3 FLOWERS 2 Betty Phelps Snell, 75, of 509 North College Street, died Tuesday at the Somerset City Hospital after an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the East Somerset Baptist Church with Rev. Ewell Hargis officiating. Burial will be in the Whetstone Cemetery.

She was born in Pulaski County on February 24, 1895, and was a daughter of the late James Buchanan and Mary Elizabeth Stogsdill Phelps. On August 18, 1912, she was married to Louis Lee Snell, who survives.

She was a housewife and a member of the East Somerset Baptist Church. She had lived in Pulaski County most of her life.

Other survivors include a son, Omer Snell, Somerset; two daughters, Mrs. Kathleen and Mrs. Clifton Edwards of Somerset; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Mattie Adkins of Pulaski County.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel of Somerset Undertaking Company.
