About Nannie Hamilton

"Anna Maria Willson, on her maternal side, was a descendant of Leonard Calvert, Lord Baltimore, of Robert and Baker Brooke, the Hall family, also the Hills. One member of the latter family, Captain Henry Hill, Jr., of Prince Georg County, Maryland, raised a troop at his own expense, and fought in the Revolutionary War. Any descendants of these families are eligible to membership in the Sons and Daughters of the American Revolution or the Colonial Dames of America.

The writer of this sketch, Mrs. Maria Louise Hamilton Kelley, has the honor to belong to both of these societies through the above lines."
