Biography
Nancy Sanders was born in the Cherokee Nation July 15, 1782. She was the daughter of a white man, Mitchell Sanders, and his Cherokee wife, Susannah. [1]
She married George Harlan about 1801. Nancy and George were the parents of three children, Eli, Ellis, and Sallie. Nancy and George divorced about 1807 and she married Ambrose Harnage, a white man, about 1809. They were the parents of five children, William, George, John, Andrew, and Betsy. [2] Nancy and Ambrose emigrated to Indian Territory as "Old Settlers" in 1832. [3]
Nancy died July 11, 1834 in the Cherokee Nation, Indian Territory. [4]

NANNIE SANDERS (MITCHELL1) was born July 15, 1782 in CNE [GA], and died July 11, 1834.
She married (1) GEORGE HARLAN Bef. 1802, son of ELLIS HARLAN and CATHERINE KINGFISHER. He was born Abt. 1779 in CNE [TN], and died 1848.
She married (2) AMBROSE HARNAGE Bef. 1810. He was born Abt. 1780, and died October 20, 1842.
