About Naomi Betsy Hjellming

ORTLEY - The funeral for Naomi Rudebusch, 87, Ortley, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Ortley Free Lutheran Church. The Rev. William Gregerson will officiate. Burial will be in Ortley Cemetery under the direction of Fiksdal Funeral Service in Webster.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church. The family is requested to meet at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the church.

She died Thursday, Feb 15, 1990, at Lake Area Hospital in Webster.

Naomi Hjellming was born Aug 26, 1902, to Charles and Anna (Wiesenberg) Hjellming in Alto Township in Roberts County, northeast of Ortley. She attended school there.

She married Leo Rudebusch on July 12, 1924, at Brookings. They farmed in the Brookings area until 1933. they then moved to a farm in Lura Township in Grannt County, south of Ortley. They moved into Ortley in 1947. He died in February 1984. for the past 2 1/2 years, she had resided at the Waubay Rest Home.

Survivors include two sons, Neil Rudebusch of Summit and Bob Rudebusch of Ortley; one daughter, Mrs. Mancel (Marvel) Lee of Ellendale, N.D.; 21 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded i death by her parents, her husband, two sons and five grandchildren.

Casketbearers will be James and Allen Lee, and Mike, Dan, Denny, Randy, Bobby and Ricj Rudebusch. Organist will be Alice Dorsett and soloist will be Shirley Swanson.
