About Napoleone Moriani
He belonged to a distinguished family and studied law, since he cultivated music for the past time, until, following the advice of his friends, he dedicated himself to the theater since 1833 and was soon one of the favorite tenors of all audiences, but in 1847, due to a stiff attachment to the throat, he was forced to retreat.
Had sung all over Italy, Austria, England and 1840 in Spain along with soprano Carlotta Cattinara, Unger and Ronconi, three coursed triumphantly around the peninsula, Moriani being decorated with the Order of Isabel the Catholic .
Donizetti, Ricci, Mercadante and other famous composers wrote operas for Moriani.
In the mid-1930s he had a relationship with Giuseppina Strepponi (who later married to Verdi ), from whom two children were born.
