Summerside Journal - 21 April 1950, page 15, col. 1 The death occurred at his home in Mont Carmel on April 17th, 1950 of Mr. Narcisse Gallant in his eighty-sixth year. Though not enjoying the best of health for the past year, he maintained a cheerful manner until his death came unexpectedly to his family and friends.Previously he received the last rites of the church from his pastor, Rev. Father Buote, who is at all times a constant visitor to the ill and the aged. His wife, the former Mary Rose Richard, predeceased him seven years ago. Left to mourn his passing are four sons and two daughters: Joseph at home; Mrs. Arsene Arsenault (Odilienne), Cape Egmont; Mrs. Azade Gallant (Mary), Mont Carmel; Arthur and Theodore, Dieppe, N.B., and John Glorice, Lewisville, N.B.
