About Natan Lewinstein

Natan was a printer as well as an artist and an inventor. I have childhood memories of him always trying to invent perpetual motion using weight and gravity.

Max Doner and Hadassah told Dorothy Raphaely and Rena Horwitz about Natan Lewinstein, who had been in the Warsaw Ghetto. He and his wife had been freedom fighters in the Ghetto uprising. After Poland was liberated, they went to France, then to Israel and finally to Montreal where they lived before emigrating to the US, to Los Angeles. Nathan died in California and his children are still living in Los Angeles.
