About Natan zu Türkheim
Ettlinger had to go back and change a lot of things about this Natan, son of Aron Bonn, because the Horovitz entry was so misleading, with the wrong year AND the wrong name (“Ebstein”). So Ettlinger at first thought he was looking at Aron’s father. By time he got Natan properly identified (as Aron’s son), other details, like the identity of Minke as his first wife were lost in the shuffle. Fortunately, Epidat clarifies the things which had, at first, confused Ettlinger, and we are left with some details which were left out. Here they are: Minke’s parents and the parents of Natan Bonn HO 171 married at about the same time. (David) Josef Joslin Weil and Vogel bt Judman Buchsbaum married in about 1563 and Aron Duerkheim and Gutlen Bonn married in 1563. Their children, Minke and Natan, respectively, married each other, but Minke died relatively early (1597) so all the focus was on Natan’s second wife, Besle Gelnhausen.
