About Nathan Avery

"Mr. Sweet said. in The Averys of Groton, that he probably died young. A Nathan Avery is said to have married :Mary Spicer, dau. of John and :Mercy (Chapman) Spicer. She was b. Jan. 27, 1753. It is possible that this Nathan may have done so, as the families lived near each other in that part of Groton called Poquetanuck, now Ledyard. No children. He probably died soon after marriage."
