LWT: In the name of God Amen, I Nathan Pitman of the stat e of North Carolina and the county of Robeson being weak o f body but of perfect sound mind and memory do make and ord ain this my last will and testament in the manner and for m following, viz: First I give, bequeath and devise to my s on Sampson Pitman one hundred and ninety nine acres of lan d whereon he now lives. Second I give, bequeath and devis e to my sons Levi and Noel Pitman four hundred acres of la nd whereon I now live and also two acres including the gris t mill and saw mill. Third it is my wil land desire that a ll my personal estate be equally divided between all my son s and daughters hereafter named (to wit) Nathan Pitman, New it Pitman, James Pitman, Robert Pitman, Jesse Pitman, Samue l Pitman, Temperance Pitman, and Elizabeth Pitman and I d o appoint my sons Levi Pitman and Noel Pitman executors t o this my last will and testament, in witness whereof I se t my hand and seal this 17 April 1799.
