He died Feb. 21, 1901 in Symco, Waupaca Co., Wisconsin; she died Aug. 17, 1908 in Waupaca Co., Wisc.; both buried at Union Cemetery, Symco, Waupaca Co., Wisconsin. Children all born Wisconsin.

Children were: Oscar Frank (1850-1928), Marion (11/24/1852-1/3/1923), Bryon (1853-1937), Julius Ensign (1855-1919), Helen Sarah (1856-1932; m. Beach), Nathaniel W. (1859-1866), Capitola Eugene (1861-1935; m. Kretschmer), Edith F. (1864-1865), and Harry (1868-1872).
