Nathaniel Cooper was baptized 26 Mar 1643 at Hingham.[1]. He was the son of Thomas Cooper and his first wife Rachel.

He married Judith Hunt 17 May 1667.[2]

Children born in Rehoboth:

  3. Thomas 12 July 1674
  4. Abijah 1 May 1677

Appears multiple times in "Plymouth Colony Records" (Shurtleff) on the Rehoboth town council, as a member of a Grand Inquest etc. but no records appear linking him directly to family members.[3]

On 10 July 1677 the Plymouth Court granted 20 pounds to the widow & children of Nathaniel for the great faithfulness and service he provided as constable "in the time of the late warrs'. They had three children at the time and the eldest to receive a double portion and the two youngest a single portion of his estate. Letter of Administration was granted to Judith the widow, her father-in-law Deacon Cooper, and her father (?) Hunt they giving good bond.[4]

His inventory was taken on 30 November 1676 and exhibited to the court of Plymouth on 10 July 1677. Judith Cooper, his widow took her oath to the truth of the inventory on 22 June 1677.[4]

The Vital Records of "Nath" was buried at Rehoboth 12 Nov 1676.[5]
