About Nathaniel Garn
Nathanial Garn, 78, Fielding, Utah, died Sunday in a Tremonton Hospital after being ill for a week with a stroke.
Nathanial was born on August 15, 1876, in Centerville, Utah, a son of Micah and Fanny Wood Garn. He moved with his family to Fielding, Utah when he was 12 and has resided there since.
He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in New Zealand from 1904-1907.
He married Clara Monahan on August 20, 1908 in Salt Lake City, Utah, and their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. Clara died in July 1943.
Nathanial was the Superintendent of Sunday School in the Fielding LDS Ward for 17 years, he had also been a Ward Teacher for many years.
Survivors include two brothers and a sister: Micah Garn Jr, Fielding, Utah; Daniel Garn, Fielding, Utah; Mrs Mahala Haffield, Salt Lake City, Utah.
