Nathaniel /7 Lamson (Silas /6, Nathaniel /5, Thomas /4, Thomas /3, John /2, William /1, was born at Sterling, Mass., July 14, 1805, and died at Shelburne Falls, Mass., Dec. 14, 1866. He married (i) Sarah Howe, daughter of Asa and Hannah (Whitaker) Howe, April 14, 1825 ; she was born Oct. 9, 1806, and died Feb. 28, 1832; he married (2) Melinda Prouty, Aug. 25, 1833; she was born at West Boylston, Mass., March 7, 1801, and died at Shelburne Falls, Mass., Aug. 23, 1874. Nathaniel Lamson lived in Shelburne Falls, Mass.

1230 Sarah /8, b. Sterling, Mass., Feb. 28, 1832; d. Shelburne Falls, Mass., Feb. 5, 1871; m. (1) Levi Smith, Feb. 5, 1852; he was b. at Wilmington, Vt., Dec. 29, 1824; d. Nov. 26, 1852. Child: (1) Cora Lizzie, b. Dec. 30, 1852; m. (2) Samuel Tobey Field, Nov. 20, 1856, at Shelburne Falls, Mass. ; he was b. at Hawley, Mass., April 20, 1820, and was the son of Theodore and Deborah (Tobey) Field. Their children were: (1) Clifton Lamson, b. Feb. 5, 1858; m.Isabella Clapp Bard well. (2) Carrie Elzada, b. Jan. 30, i860. (3) William D., b. Feb. 22, 1861 ; m. Grace Von Buskirk. (4) Mary Gertrude, b. May 17, 1863. (5) Frank Smith, b. Sept. i, 1865; m. Fannie M. Denons. (6) Nathaniel Lamson, b. Jan. 5, 1868; m. Ada B. Roylance. (7) Samuel Abbott, b. Jan. 31, 1871.
