Nathaniel is listed as #2592 on page 206 in Ira Peck's 1868 book. He is the son of Deacon (Lieut) Nathaniel and Christian Allen Peck and a great grandson of Joseph Peck the immigrant. Nathaniel died in the army at FORT EDWARD, WASHINGTON COUNTY, NY at 57 yrs. of age on August 5, 1756 -FRENCH AND INDIAN WAR. His wife, Alce Fish of Portsmouth, RI died Nov. 10, 1776 at 75 yrs of age. For a man of wealth, his stone seems primitive. Perhaps it was a temporary one. His father is buried at Prince's Hill in Barrington, RI.
