About Nathaniel Selleck
Biography
Nathaniel Selleck, son of John Selleck and Sarah Law, was born 7 Apr 1678 in Stamford, Fairfield, Connecticut Colony, and died there 14 Aug. 1712.
According to Huntington's Stamford Registration, he married Sarah Lockwood 25 Jan. 1699/1700. She was the daughter of Gershom Lockwood and Ann Millington.
Children of Nathaniel and Sarah born at Stamford, CT, were:
- David (23 Dec. 1700),
- Sarah (14 Aug. 1702),
- Nathaniel (9 Oct. 1704),
- John (3 Jan. 1706/7),
- Martha (19 Apr. 1710, died 8 Aug. 1712) &
- Ebenezer (20 Mar. 1712, died 11 Dec. 1715).
On 9 February 1718/19, the distribution of his estate to his wife and son David is recorded and she is discharged as administrator.[1]
After Nathaniel’s death in 1712, widow Sarah Selleck married 2nd to Benjamin Hickock and 3rd to Samuel Kellogg.
