Probably born in Edlesborough, Buckinghamshire, England. He resided in Providence, Rhode Island.

Wife unknown. Father of Nathaniel Tompkins (Died before May 19, 1724)

The baptisms of the children of Ralph Tompkins and Katherine Foster are documented in Wendover (not Edlesborough). There was no son Nathaniel among them. And Nathaniel does not appear among the names of Ralph's children on the 1635 passenger list.[1]

Nathaniel immigrated to New England during the Puritan Great Migration of 1620-1640. His baptism was in Wendover, Wendover, Edlesborough. Buckingshire England.

He was not found on the passenger list of 1635.

Listed as the Head of Household in the book "Little Compton Families" By Benjamin Franklin Wilbour. There is evidence connecting him with the Salem, Mass Tomphins nor Concrod and Westchester Ny Tompkins
