Nathaniel Wilson was baptised on 2 Aug 1621 in Warley in the parish of Halifax, Yorkshire. [Ref] He died on 17 Sep 1692 in Newton. [Ref] He married Hannah Crafts on 2 Apr 1645 in Roxbury. [Ref] She died on 18 Aug 1692 in Newton. in Newton. [Ref]

On 19 (9) 1647 Nathaniel Wilson of Roxbury appointed John Wilson, a cloth worker of Halifax, Yorkshire, his true attorney and asked him to ask Nathaniel Holgate of Halifax about a legacy. [Ref] On 19 (6) 1648 Nathaniel Wilson of Roxbury sold a messuage and land in Ovenden, Yorkshire to Joseph Wood. [Ref][Ref]

He lived in Roxbury and in the part of Boston called Muddy River (Brookline).

Nathaniel Wilson moved to Cambridge Village (Newton), where he purchased about 150 acres. [Ref]

MEMORIAL PHOTOS 0 FLOWERS 10 According to the Craft Genealogy, Nathaniel Wilson m. Hannah Craft on Apr. 2, 1645, as confirmed by the Roxbury VRs. He d. of record Sept. 17, 1692 at Newton, Middlesex County, Mass.

• He purchased 150 acres of land at "Cambridge Village," where he and his wife settled. He died Sept. 17, 1692, Æ. 70 years. The inventory of his estate amounted to £219 14s. His wife Hannah died Aug. 17, 1692. [Craft Gen.]

Newton, originally part of the Town of Cambridge, Mass., was incorporated as a separate town known as Cambridge Village in 1688, then renamed Newtown in 1691 and finally Newton in 1766.

Nathaniel and Hannah had ten acknowledged children, nine who grew to adulthood: a stillborn child, Hannah, Susanna, Nathaniel, twins Benjamin and Joseph, Isaac, Mary, Abigail and Samuel. Nine of the children are of birth and/or baptism record at Roxbury, one is not reflected in the printed records, and two are incorrectly shown in their baptism record as the child of Joseph Wilson. The children were:

• ii. Hannah Wilson, bapt. Apr. 2, 1647 (Roxbury Ch.), d. Feb. 13, 1721/22 at Roxbury, Æ 75 (g.s.); m. Feb. 7, 1668/9 at Roxbury, Samuel Seaver, s. Robert Seaver and Hannah Ballard, b. Jan. 31, 1639/40 at Roxbury where he d. Jan. 18, 1729/30, Æ 92 (g.s.) Six recorded children of the family.

• iii. Susanna Wilson, b. circa 1650 [birth or bapt. not of record], d. Dec. 29, 1725 at Hingham, Mass.; m. Dec. 31, 1673 Lieut. Thomas Gill, s. of Thomas Gill and Hannah Otis, b. Mar. 8, 1648/9. He d. Sept. 3, 1725. Six children of the family.

• iv. Nathaniel Wilson, Jr., bapt. May 8, 1653 (Roxbury Ch.); m. Hannah Jackson Sept. 26, 1690 at Newton, Mass.

Feb. 10, 1745/6 at Boston, Mass. He d. Nov. 1, 1715 at Cambridge. He m. 1) Grace Prentice by whom he had six children, and another six children by Mary Wilson.

• ix. Abigail Wilson, bapt. Apr. 10, 1664, d. Mar 16, 1745/6; m. as his 2nd wife, Dea. Edward Jackson, Jr. of Newton, Mass. He was b. Dec. 15, 1652 at Cambridge and d. Sept. 30, 1727 at Newton. Seven children of the marriage.
