He married Abigail Allyn on 29 April 1747 in Stonington.
Note: It is likely that their first child was Nehemiah Williams, born 26 Sep 1749, who is currently profiled as a son of Jeremiah Williams and Abigail Mathewson, which is a matter pending resolution. If it turns out that he should be attached to these parents instead, then this profile should be edited accordingly, at which time this paragraph may be deleted. They had six children during the timeframe through August 1760. These produced no known marriage or issue:
- Christopher Williams, b. 5 Jul 1751; died in the West Indies
- Eunice Williams, b. 25 Jul 1753; d. 29 Mar 1754
- Daniel Williams, b. 6 Apr 1758
His wife died 24 Jul 1767.
He married, secondly, Bethier Wilber.
They had one son. Nehemiah Williams died 19 Aug 1797 at the age of about 73.<ref>"Connecticut Deaths and Burials, 1772-1934." Database. FamilySearch. http://FamilySearch.org : 29 November 2018.
