About Nelly Oppenheim Klaber
Nelly was a girdle maker. She moved in 1933 to Amsterdam, Netherlands with her family and lived before the Shoah in the Volkerakstraat. After she survived the Shoah she lived on the JvW Obdamstr. 18 in Amsterdam. A distant family member, Fritz Klaber, b.Breyell 1904-1986, had in his papers the following address: Dammerweg 118, Nederhorst den Berg. It is possible that Nelly and children survived the Shoah in this small village south of Amsterdam as there have been many Jewish people who were hidden in this village during the Shoah. May 1947 she and her children emigrated to Baltimore, Md, 1514 N Appletonstreet
