Her ancestry is conjectural. David Hughes' reconstruction of this family makes the wife of Vettius Iustus a half-sister of the Emperor Julian, as daughter of Iulius Constantius. Another theory is that she was a daughter of Crispus (by Helena), son of Constantine the Great by his mistress Minervina. Either way, she was a member of the Constantinian dynasty.
