About Nicholai Avram Crishon
Nicholas came to America in 1902. His father, brother (Daniel) and sister (Maria) also emigrated to America, however, it is unknown in what years they came. Nicholas first settled in Cleveland, Ohio and later moved to Sharon, Pennsylvania. He worked for The American Steel Foundry as an employment manager earning $100 per month. He spoke seven languages which aided him in his work with the employees.
Nicholas married Eva Belei and had two children: Romulus (1911) and Olympia (or "Jane", 1912). Eva died in 1917. Nicholas' father died in an influenza epidemic in either 1918 or 1919. They are both buried in Sharon, Pennsylvania. Around that time, Nicholas went into business for himself opening a fish market. He later opened a grocery store/meat market at 8 Superior Street in Sharon, Pennsylvania. This became his livelihood and the family business where the whole family worked.
Nicholas died of a heart attack on Sunday, December 12, 1943.
